Customer experiences echo this sentiment. Frequent diner tt raves about the professional and attentive service, praising the willingness of staff to freshly prepare special items like cilantro rolls upon request. Preston Kwan’s enthusiasm is contagious, having returned twice in one day just to enjoy the friendly service and mouthwatering BBQ Pork Buns. While Helen M noted the portions lean towards the smaller side, the delicious flavors more than justify each bite’s value.

Decent for the price. The egg tart is flavorable but on the small side. Sweet tofu was ok The BBQ Pork bun was decent for the price
TC Pastry is one of the best take away Dim Sum place in the Sunset district. Especially, the service is professional, staff very attentive, and customer oriented. The food is good, price is competitive. If you buy cilantro rolls that they do not have at the counter, they will make them for you, only about 5 minutes wait.
You know when the menu/ restaurant looks like (pics below), the food will be fire. I stumbled on this place recently and found their dim sum to be quite good, especially the sugar cakes and mango pudding. Overall its no thrills, but very well priced and good dim sum.
This is very good dimsum. But the reason why it's so good is the affordability. It's quality food for good prices. The customer service was very friendly. We visited 2 times in the same day, that's how tasty and affordable it was. And the BBQ bun was heavenly good.
Sold dim sum spot on Irving! Jook + the perfectly made chinese donut were my favorite items here. No complaints from me, I’ll be back soon!
Just came in to.pick up BBQ bake pork bun, sesame ball, cocktail bun sweet rice cake. To have with coffee when I get back home.the taste is the same. The price went up.and size of the BBQ buns are now smaller than before. Everything nowadays are like that..just get use to it .
6/19/2025: 2025 update: Pretty sad TC Pastry in Daly City closed. Now I have to drive further for some deep fried wontons. But today was not that day. I arrived too late and they ran out of fried wontons at 6pm. At least they have the closing time specials, 3 for $3.50. My consolation prize was egg rolls. They were pretty good. I should have gotten more. Good job everyone at TC Pastry. Original review: I've been a patron at TC Pastry for 20+ years. My haircut salon is down the block and my routine is to pick-up some dim sum after my haircut. My favorite items are the egg rolls, preserved egg porridge, fried wonton, Chinese doughnut, various steamed dim sum and wonton noodles. This time, I ordered wonton noodles $6.20, fried wontons $2.85, pork siu mai $3.50 (3 per order) and shrimp dumpling $3.50 (3 per order). The wonton noodles tasted good. I liked that clean soup taste. The fried wontons are greasy and will break apart in the plastic bag. The pork siu mai is great. It doesn't taste good though if it is cold or the next day. Be careful of their shrimp dumpling. Every time I order this, I'm disappointed. The staff is always nice to me. Maybe it is because I show up before they close and they are happy to get rid of the stuff they don't sell.
